1. Overview

KHAPPS is a real-time messaging application. We respect your privacy and only collect what is necessary to make the product work. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

2. Data we collect

Account data: email, username, display name, optional avatar, bio, contact links.
Messages and media: text, files, images and voice messages you send or receive.
Presence: online status and last‑seen timestamps to show others when you are reachable.
Device data: browser type, language, and notification preferences (stored locally).

3. How we use your data

To deliver messages between you and other users.
To show your profile to people you chat with.
To provide search, notifications and basic spam/abuse prevention.
We do not sell your data and we do not show third‑party advertising.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored on managed Lovable Cloud infrastructure with row‑level security. Files are stored in a private bucket and served via short‑lived signed URLs. You can change your password or email at any time from Settings.

5. Your rights

Edit your profile and contact info from the Profile page.
Block users you no longer want to interact with.
Disable read receipts in Settings → Privacy.
Delete your account permanently from Settings → Account; this removes your profile, messages and reactions.

6. Children

KHAPPS is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can remove it.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
